The BLISS 2000 Rendezvous was held in Westbrook, CT on July 28-30th, 2000.  Westbrook, CT and Pilots Point Marina is a wonderful stopping point for sailors and offers great facilities for transient boats.   It sits about 8 miles west of the Connecticut River and the Old Saybrook breakwater and light.    A fine place for a rendezvous.

 The gods of weather were not very cooperative in that the first two weeks of July held spectacular sailing weather while 2 days before the rendezvous the skies clouded and rain settled in for a nasty two week stay.    While 30 boats had registered for the rendezvous,  10 boats cancelled due to weather and 3 attended the rendezvous via "land yacht".    20 boats physically attended.

Despite weather cancellations, hardy packeteers attended and had a good time.  New boats to the rendezvous comprised over half the attendees.   Many boats were on their third BLISS rendezvous and were given a special prize.
